or lack there of...

lately ive been feeling like im swimming in one of those endless pools, where no matter how hard i tread i dont get anywhere (musically speaking). i purposely have refrained from using the more popular treadmill for this metaphore because...after a bad experience back in highschool i havent stepped foot on one, so that´s not applicable...hahaha ¨good times." i´ve reverted to listening to some old and comforting favorites like the strokes, sia, and dandy warhols, and though its interesting how in life as you experience different things and grow, songs that once meant something to you can totally change in meaning and how they make you feel; i feel like i´m only getting fragmented satisfaction from each song, artist, playlist...i need something a bit more holistic and comprehensive to really rock my ear drums, mind, soul, and body. I´ve never been so dissatisfied with the music in my life before...this is very lame. I need a musical rennaisance and I´m missing pandora fiercely at the moment.
